Molly Simmons Joins Tonka Bay
MINNETONKA, Minn. (April 9, 2010) -Tonka Bay Equity Partners LLC announced that Molly Simmons has joined the firm as a Principal. Ms. Simmons brings ten years of middle market private equity experience to Tonka Bay, investing across a number of industries and types of transactions. Her focus at Tonka Bay will be deal origination and providing strategic oversight to portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Tonka Bay, Ms. Simmons was a Principal with Gemini Investors, a private equity firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. Most recently she was a Managing Director with Gemini and managed their Minneapolis office. Previously, she was a manager in British Petroleum’s strategy and M&A group, and was a management consultant with Bain & Company. Ms. Simmons earned a B.S. degree from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Ms. Simmons serves on the board of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC), and has served on the boards of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) in Boston and Minneapolis.
