Seaway Plastics Engineering Acquires Wright Engineered Plastics
MINNETONKA, MN (January 20, 2021) – Seaway Plastics Engineering (“Seaway”), a portfolio company of Tonka Bay Equity Partners (“Tonka Bay”), has announced the acquisition of Wright Engineered Plastics (“Wright”) on December 31, 2020. The acquisition strengthens Seaway’s position as a supplier to the medical industry while expanding into the California market.
Based in Santa Rosa, CA, Wright is an FDA registered and ISO 13485-certified organization with extensive experience in precision injection molding. Wright’s capabilities include two-shot molding, insert molding and over-molding of precision components, in addition to contract manufacturing for the medical industry by utilizing its clean room capabilities.
