Tonka Bay exits investment in Roadlink USA
Tonka Bay Equity Partners LLC announces the exit of its investment in RoadLink USA, Inc. in connection with the sale of RoadLink to Fenway Partners.
RoadLink is the largest independent intermodal trucking service provider in North America (roadlinkusa.com). In October, 2000, Tonka Bay, through an affiliate, participated in the acquisition of seven regional intermodal trucking companies to form the first nationwide intermodal platform. RoadLink has grown to a network of 50 service locations from coast-to-coast and a combined capacity of 1,500 trucks.
Tonka Bay exited its investment in RoadLink when Fenway Partners acquired the company in September, 2006. Fenway Partners is a private equity firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
