Tonka Bay Invests in United Skin Specialists
MINNETONKA, Minn. (September 15, 2015) —Tonka Bay Equity Partners LLC (“Tonka Bay”) announced today its investment in United Skin Specialists LLC (“USS”), a healthcare practice management company providing management services to dermatology offices in the Midwest. Tonka Bay partnered with Dr. Brian Zelickson in this transaction. USS is Tonka Bay’s fourth platform investment in the practice management industry.
With roots tracing back nearly 50 years at some locations, USS’s network of offices have built a reputation of providing patient centered dermatology services led by Dr. Brian Zelickson and Dr. Alvin Zelickson. Tonka Bay has also partnered with Jim Feinstein, President and COO of USS, who has 20 years of experience in the practice management industry. The USS partner network provides innovative medical and cosmetic dermatology care, including Mohs surgery and pathology. USS plans to increase their network of offices and services through both acquisitions and organic growth.
